Just after sunrise on my second day in Cape Town, Job Thomas picked me up at my hotel and took me to hike up Lion’s Head, one of the more popular hikes around. It didn’t rain which was good, it was however a little cloudy and foggy. It was a great start into the day and an even better introduction to Cape Town. Thank you Job!

My first evening in Cape Town included a visit to The Shortmarket Club, one of the three restaurants of The Test Kitchen’s Luke Dale-Roberts. It just opened two months prior and certainly lived up to the hype!

Not only did I get upgraded to Business Class on my trip from Frankfurt to Johannesburg, it got also assigned Lufthansa’s latest Siegerflieger! It’s the aircraft they scheduled to carry Germany’s Olympic athletes back home from Brazil.
