We took the Platteklip trail, which is apparently a softie trail even though it’s super steep!
My view for three hours…
Job pretending everything is fine. Kim and I better reflected the mood
Nice views on the way up. If you turn around to see them
Almost there, Kim and Job leading the way
It had a good incline that rarely led up
View over Cape Town
The view southwest towards False Bay
Camps Bay
Overlooking Camps Bay
Kim and Job leading the way to the top station of the cable cars
Who knew it’s part of the New 7 Wonders of Nature?
Lion’s Head on the right, Table Mountain to the left
Overlooking Cape Town
Job, Kim, and I, enjoying a brief break before hiking back down
On our way back down…
I’ve recently gotten inspired to go on more hikes and explore. A rewarding investment so far and one that I’m looking forward to expanding soon, with Canada’s beauty on the horizon.
So being in Cape Town for WordCamp, how could I pass up the opportunity to trek up Table Mountain? After taking me to Lion’s Head a few days earlier, Job Thomas was again so nice to take time out of his schedule to show me around, this time even along with his wife Kim, and it was definitely a memorable half day.
